About Black Bamboo
There are many different varieties of bamboo that are grown commercially throughout the world. At Forever Bamboo, we only use Phyllostachys Nigra for our black and speckled bamboo poles. Our black and speckled poles are two different varieties of Nigra and are completely natural in color. We never stain or dye our black and speckled poles.
Pole Sizes and Multi-Packs
Phyllostachys Nigra is a daintier species of bamboo than Tonkin and Moso; however, it’s equally as sturdy as Tonkin and Moso. We sell black and speckled poles in a variety of different lengths to accommodate both indoor and outdoor projects.
DISCLAIMER: Due to the nature of bamboo, the size, shape, and color of bamboo poles may vary.

For exterior design applications, consider using speckled bamboo poles in your yard to build a charming garden structure. Bamboo is a versatile building material and can even be used to make beautiful trellises for plants and vegetables. Fences are also a popular item that can be lined with black bamboo poles for a modern feel. Line a tiki bar or fence with black or speckled bamboo for an exotic alternative to traditional tan colored Tonkin and Moso bamboo.
Get even more creative by making furniture, tropical handicrafts, art canes, picture frames, jewelry, pencil holders, wind chimes, and more with our top quality bamboo poles. Bamboo poles serve as sturdy building materials and an eco-friendly alternative to traditional wood products.
Black and speckled bamboo poles can easily be cut with conventional tools. Any fine toothed table, hack, hand, or band saw is recommended to cut bamboo to perfection.
Shipping
We offer free shipping on our black bamboo poles 90 inches and shorter. All 120 inch bamboo poles do not qualify for free shipping due to the length being "oversized" by carrier standards and needing to ship via freight carrier.
Note: Bamboo is a natural product and can develop cracks in transit due to changes in climate and handling by carriers. Cracked poles are still safe to use for any project.
